rules and regulations
1. JOINING THE VIRTUAL RUN.
Categories: 5km, 10km, 21km, 42km, 70km, 100km.
Install the "Virtual Run - Rise with Vietnam" app and link it to Strava or other run applications.
Participants are not allowed to change information after registration.
Registration day until November 30th, 2020. Participants can still register while the run happens.
The Virtual run starts on October 17th, 2020 and ends on November 30th, 2020.
Vietnam local time zone (GMT+7) is the default time zone for the whole event.
From runners: Participants are encouraged to donate for their own running record or that of another participant. Runners are also encouraged to ask their supporters or other athletes to donate to their running record. Note: this is NOT a requirement for athletes.
The money contributed by the participants will not be refundable and transferable under any circumstances.
Participants must be over 18 years old.
Participants are fully responsible for their own health.
BTC will not be held responsible for injuries or illnesses that occur when participants participate in the challenge.
Results calculated based on the total distance traveled must be calculated at the start and the end of the challenge.
Average speed (minutes / km) ranges from 4:00 to 15:00 minutes / km.
Only accept outdoor exercises using the Strava or other run applications
An athlete may not be recognized as a finisher if that person’s completion time exceeds the time of the challenge.
Do not use 2 or more accounts of Strava or other run applications in a running session.
Show clear running map and no signs of errors due to GPS inaccuracy of mobile devices. Run results that are entered manually (manual input), or shared by others, or run on a treadmill, or recorded for different accounts will not be validated.
Organizer reserves the right to review the results and exclude results deemed to be dishonest.
6. INVALID RESULTS
Athletes who are found to be wearing more than two time-measuring devices during competition time will be disqualified and the result will not be counted.
The total running distance will be reviewed before being officially released. Athletes can request to check their unofficial results before the official ones are announced.
The athlete must start and end the run time within the official cut-off time provided by the organizers.
7. ORGANIZER’S RIGHT
The Organizer must prepare plans to prevent and detect frauds if any, and at the same time call for the athletes to practice fairness and self-discipline. If any fraud is detected, the contestant will be disqualified from the competition and will not have their run results listed.
The Organizer reserves the right to decide whether an athlete is eligible to compete, the right to stop the competition and cancel the results of the Team and the athlete if any fraud or non-compliance with the provisions of the competition is detected and the right to adjudicate against complaints.
The Organizer reserves the right to use photos, videos, or other forms of video (including recordings of athletes' images at the event) for promotional purposes. Participants agreed to confirm this provision in the event registration process.
The Organizer reserves the right to restrict or deny anyone participating in this event.
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel any run distance without prior notice to the athletes.
The Organizer is not responsible for any disputes from not completing the registration information.
The Organizer may unilaterally suspend, modify or cancel the event for any reason, including the dangerous conditions for the competition. In case the event is postponed, modified or canceled for objective reasons (including wind, rainwater, hail, storms, tornadoes, earthquakes), terrorist activities, fires, threats or attacks, labor accidents, floods, unavoidable losses, or any other causes which lies beyond the control of the Organizer, athletes will not be reimbursed registration fees or any expenses related to the contest.
